Seiun Jinko Aloeswood Incense by Nippon Kodo. This exquisite aloeswood jinko incense is a richly scented and complex blend. In Japan, aloeswood is graded according to flavour, with the five key flavours being sweet, sour, hot, bitter and salty. The Seiun Jinkoh aloeswood is graded as sweet, and there are distinct notes of sweetness mixed in with the rich and earthy aroma released when this incense is burned. Nippon Kodo’s premium Seiun range of fragrances are considered an inspiration to greatness, with calming and fresh scents. The packaging features an attractive brown and gold design and kanji characters with the brand name. Seiun incense has a higher concentration of charcoal than other incense, and burns at a hotter temperature with much less smoke. It burns cleanly with a pure scent, for meditation, relaxation, reading, listening to music and peace of mind. Includes 160 incense sticks.

The Seiun range of incense from Nippon Kodo has a higher concentration of charcoal than other incense, and burns at a hotter temperature with much less smoke, hence the name which translates as blue cloud. This traditional Japanese incense is a low smoke, solid stick made without a bamboo core and infused with essential oils for a pure, clean fragrance and a soothing experience.

Directions: To light Japanese incense, simply ignite the tip, let it flame briefly, then extinguish the flame so it can smoulder. Unlike Indian incense, Japanese sticks do not have a bamboo core, so there is no specific end to light. The gentle, low-smoke burn is an integral part of enjoying the fragrance. Insert the unlit end of the incense into the incense holder.
