Kyoto Temple / Japan FMO9 Fragrance Memories Incense by Nippon Kodo. Wander through the quiet temple paths of Kyoto, where time slows and history lingers in every wooden beam and stone garden. This fragrance captures the tranquil spirit of Japans ancient capital, with the crisp, green clarity of shiso leaf, the creamy depth of sandalwood, and the dry, clean elegance of hinoki cypress. A graceful, meditative scent that invites inner stillness. Includes 15 incense sticks and a mini ceramic incense holder.
Fragrance: Serene Woody.
Key Notes: Shiso Leaf, Sandalwood, Hinoki.
Burn time: 35 minutes approx.
The Fragrance Memories incense sets from Nippon Kodo include 15 sticks and a ceramic incense holder, perfect for filling your space with captivating fragrances that evoke memories of special places around the world. Each stick burns cleanly for about 35 minutes. Traditional Japanese incense is a low smoke, solid stick made without a bamboo core and infused with essential oils for a pure, clean fragrance and a soothing experience.
Directions: To light Japanese incense, simply ignite the tip, let it flame briefly, then extinguish the flame so it can smoulder. Unlike Indian incense, Japanese sticks do not have a bamboo core, so there is no specific end to light. The gentle, low-smoke burn is an integral part of enjoying the fragrance. Insert the unlit end of the incense into the incense holder. If you are using a ceramic plate and a small stand (like the one that comes with Nippon Kodo’s Fragrance Memories), the stick will burn at an angle.
